What Takexi does
Takexi coordinates the pickup only. You tap once to create a request; the request is shown to eligible licensed drivers with a working taximeter; a driver chooses to accept it; Takexi helps that driver reach your pickup point and keeps you both informed until you are in the taxi. Takexi's active role ends at that point. Takexi is not the transport provider — the licensed driver and their operator are.
What Takexi does not do
Takexi does not calculate, quote, estimate or lock a fare; does not collect the fare or act as a payment intermediary; does not replace or duplicate the licensed taximeter; does not choose or manage your route after pickup; and does not manage the journey once you are in the taxi. Your fare is metered in the vehicle under local licensing rules and is payable to the driver.
Requests and pickups
One tap creates one request, and while a request is live you cannot create a second one. Exactly one driver can accept a given request. Takexi does not force a driver on you and does not assign requests: drivers choose which waiting request to take.
Cancelling and driver release
You can cancel a waiting or accepted request from the home screen; a cancelled request is finished for good and is not offered to drivers again. Separately, a driver who has accepted a request may hand it back — this is not a cancellation by you: the same request returns to the waiting list for another driver to take.
Driver responsibilities
Drivers are responsible for holding and maintaining valid driving, taxi and vehicle licences and insurance, for a compliant and roadworthy vehicle, for lawful use of the taximeter, and for following the rules of their licensing authority. Providing false or out-of-date information may end access. These terms do not replace Takexi's own eligibility checks, which are applied by the service itself.
Rider responsibilities
You do not need an account to request a taxi. Please only request a taxi you intend to take, be at the pickup point you set, and treat drivers with respect. Do not submit false requests or misuse messaging.
Messaging
Rider and driver messaging exists for the pickup and is available only between the rider and the driver who accepted that request, from acceptance until the pickup is complete. Takexi does not share private phone numbers between riders and drivers. Support conversations are separate and remain open to you.
Accounts, restrictions and deletion
An account is optional for riders and required for drivers. Keep your credentials secure and give accurate information. We may restrict or withdraw access where the service is misused, where messaging is abused, or where a driver is not eligible. You can delete your account at any time — see Delete your account. Deletion does not remove records we must lawfully keep, and does not lift an active restriction.
Privacy
How Takexi uses location, messages and account data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of your use of the service.
